Project of the Month

The project of the month for January goes to our mold AES 1205 from HP. Between AES and our partner AFR we were able to meet our customer’s expectation in delivery time and quality, producing our 5th mold for this  project.

Mold overview:
Number of cavities: 8 Cav
Mold size: L 39.000” x W 21.500” x H 17.600”
Mold Class type: Class 102
Gating system: Hot Runner – Mold Master with 8 drops direct to the part
Ejection system: - Ejector Pins
Finish Type: Chemical Texture - Mold Tech
Application: Computer Servers
Lead time for first shots: 10 weeks
Lead time for tool qualification: 2 ½ weeks

jantar.jpgHighlight for this project: Tool complexity combined with the required lead time made this project a special one.  It was a racing project and with this victory we all had reasons to celebrate. Congratulations to HP, AES and AFR, job well done.

Highlights of the Month

grupo.jpgWe are using Moldflow Mold Adviser (MPA) from moldflow.

It is our strategically goal to shift the mold filling simulation “know how” from our outside sources to our internal engineering department. Today we can combine our experience of Injection Processing with our experience of Mold Design Engineering. This is done by having our Processing Engineering team  use the Mold Flow Simulation tools on the early phase of Mold Design Engineering.
 
With this system we achieve a close loop process with minimal loss of information and know how. It brings the best to the Mold Design Engineering phase and the best in the Mold Qualification phase.
Our goal is to have all our molds to go through Mold Advisor before mold construction.
